It began with three mortgage industry veterans reminiscing about the ups & downs and trends of the past twenty years. Having closed billions of dollars in transactions apiece, they agreed that what made a difference for the homeowner wasn’t the hot product at any given time, but their expertise and drive to find a solution that helped the borrower the greatest. Being a good mortgage professional means working smarter to explore every option before guiding the client towards a specific loan product or solution.

As the credit crunch tightened, loan programs changed, and foreclosures began to soar - the concepts of loss mitigation and loan modification clearly became the solution to help the industry. Most brokers and lenders only think of these tools only when foreclosure is looming. WMG’s founders however saw the larger potential of using loss mitigation and loan modification as a standard tool in the mortgage professional’s toolkit, creating an option to help any homeowner at any time.
